This wooden cross is made from teak wood salvaged from the Port Bailey Cannery, on Kodiak Island Alaska. The cannery had in earlier years a Boat Wright Shop which has long become part of the sea but we constantly find teak scraps in the cannery building and beach around the area where boats were built.

The measurements vary a bit but they are approximately:
3 1/2 " x 1 7/8" x 1/2" thick

Each cross has a hole through so it could be worn as a necklace and it does come with leather cord as seen in photos.

These make great small gifts. 

Teak is traditionally used in the making of fishing boats due to its strength, durability, resistance to termites & fungi. It is believed that the teak used to make these crosses is well over 40 years old. The cross was not stained, it was hand rubbed with natural Danish oil.
